I just have to say this, Merlin could've been Arthur's father. Arthur actually thought he was.
Mary Stewarts Merlin series, five books, Arthurian saga, but she added a fifth book at the last minute so yeah.....that tv show has it wrong. I love Merlin, and hated it when they destroyed him in that tv series. Guinevere was know to be fair haired and eyed and from a faraway land and one of royal blood, not a servant. and there was no "nice" morgana, she became evil at like age fifteen and hated merlin because he wouldn't teach her his awesome magic so she went to dark magic, stuff that one can easily learn, and tries to kill him many times and almost succeeds once. so yeah....that tv series is wayyyyy off. merlin was of royal blood as well, on his mother's side he was the grandson of a lesser king and on his father's...you'd have to read the books, i can't spoil it here, its to big.
